Municipality of Tatabánya

Tatabánya, which is located between two chain of montains (Vértes and Gerecse) is about 60 kilometers far from the Capital of Hungary. Tatabánya is a loose conglomerate of three villages, block of flats and industrial zones, which was integrated as a town in 1947. Investors are interested in settling down here because of the excellent geografical situation of the city.

The participation in Energy Trophy®+ is in connection with following local climate protection project:

The general assembly of Tatabánya accepted the Climate Protection Strategy and the local Hot and UV-alarm Plan of the city. We are talking about the first accepted plans in these fields, which are big milestones in the life of Hungary.

The Energy Trophy®+ presentation was held in the lecture room of the Municipality in September. All the employees participated on the program. After the presentation the notary and the local manager Ms Barbara Botos introduced the ”idea box” for the employees. The employees can give suggestions in two categories: energy efficiency ideas and creative ideas to motivate the colleauges. The best suggestions will be awarded on the next common meeting before Christmas.

The local manager gives regular information for the employees about the competition, energy saving results and realization of the given local ideas in every month. On the basis of an excellent idea they created posters and signs, which will be labeled on office machines and switches.
